Aakanksha is a Principal Landscape Consultant and Chartered Landscape Architect with over seven years’ professional experience across architecture, landscape planning and design. She has particular expertise in Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA), Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Green Belt and Grey Belt assessment, landscape appraisal, landscape strategy and the integration of landscape considerations into development design.
She has worked across residential, mixed-use, infrastructure, energy and strategic development projects in the UK and internationally. Her experience spans early feasibility and site promotion through to planning applications, Environmental Statements, landscape strategies, Design and Access Statements and long-term landscape mitigation and management. Aakanksha takes an evidence-based and policy-aware approach to landscape planning, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to shape proposals and support environmentally responsive, landscape-led development.
With a background in architecture as well as landscape architecture, she brings a strong design perspective to landscape planning and a particular interest in embedding landscape, environmental and sustainability considerations from the outset. She is also committed to knowledge sharing and professional development and is actively involved with the Landscape Institute as a member of its Planning Policy Task & Finish Group, a Landscape Institute Awards Judge and a mentor to candidates undertaking the Pathway to Chartership.
