Declan has a strong background in field surveying and EcIA, with specialisms in badger ecology, Biodiversity Net Gain and GIS. Declan also holds Natural England licenses for both hazel dormouse and great crested newt.
His recent experience has seen him involved with providing ecology services to utility and energy suppliers across South West England and South Wales including particularly by having close ties with Western Power Distribution. Alongside this work he has extensive experience managing residential schemes, during which he has developed experience in implementing Biodiversity Net Gain.
Prior to this, Declan obtained a BSc (Hons) in Zoology with Conservation and an MRes in Ecology from Bangor University writing his dissertations on the synthesis of algal biodiesel and the ecology of a rare and endangered South African stag beetle respectively.
