Throughout his career Allan has led or contributed to a wide range of environmental, landscape and urban design projects, enjoying and fostering team collaboration and working with clients to achieve their aims. He is passionate about the role of green infrastructure in tackling the effects of climate change and bringing new life to communities. He has extensive experience of landscape strategy, appraisal and landscape and visual impact assessment. Significant projects include the development of the riverside urban quarter at Imperial Wharf in London, the new settlement of Kingston Grange in Warwickshire and the regeneration of Swansea City Centre.
Prior to joining Logika, Allan was Landscape Director at GL Hearn (and formerly Capita REI before restructure) for five years where he led a large team of over thirty landscape architects across the UK, as well as teams of acoustic and air quality experts. Before that, Allan was at Broadway Malyan for twelve years, culminating in the role of UK Head of Landscape, and at Atkins for fourteen years, where he jointly established their regional landscape team in Manchester.
Allan is also an external examiner for the Landscape Institute.
