OUR APPROACH & DELIVERABLES
A HIA, based on information contained within relevant technical assessments was carried out in support of the planning application.
The HIA identifies:
- Potential harms that will be mitigated, such as impacts on health from air pollution, construction, noise levels; and
- Positive aspects of the development such as job opportunities and opportunities for active travel.
The approach is guided by the HUDU Rapid Health Impact Assessment Tool[1] using a higher-level, desk-top approach. This reflects that the proposed change is unlikely to have any material change in the health of the existing population, nor will disproportionately affect any specific vulnerable groups.
Deliverable was a standalone HIA to accompany the planning application.
