OUR APPROACH & DELIVERABLES:
Logika produced a lifecycle GHG assessment for the solar farm, using a model developed in house to help calculate the emissions from construction, operation and decommissioning of the project. A key part of the GHG assessment was quantifying the carbon benefits of the project and its role in decarbonising the UK’s energy supply and achieving the Government’s net zero goals. This was supported with a climate resilience assessment considering the impact that future climate change (e.g. heatwaves, floods and storms) may have on the project.
Logika also completed an assessment of air quality impacts, focussed on emissions from traffic and site activities during construction with particular focus on impacts to sensitive ecological sites in the vicinity of the project.
The project involved working with the design and environment team to provide technical input to EIA Scoping, PEIR and final ES deliverables.
