Rory is a principal ecologist with 9 years of consulting experience. He has significant experience in protected species surveying and mitigation, biodiversity net gain, ecological clerk of works (ECoW), and policy and legal compliance for a variety of developments including residential, electrical, industrial, rail, commercial, educational, Development Consent Orders (DCO) and Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIP).
Rory has undertaken numerous Phase 1 and UK Habitat surveys, BREEAM, Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Ecological Impact Assessments, inputted into or completed protected species licensing applications, compliance reporting, and planning condition discharge surveys with associated reporting. His protected species survey experience is focussed largely on bats, badger, and reptiles.
Rory currently holds a City and Guilds NPTC Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue qualification, and a Natural England Bat Class Level 1 licence.
