Kelly joined the company in 2023, prior to which she was a technical specialist and team leader at Wood Plc. She specialises in bats (both UK and Saudi Arabian species), dormice, water voles and botany, with a particular interest in Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) and UK Habitats Assessment.
As task lead, Kelly has contributed habitat and protected species assessment to several Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects and Development Consent Orders (DCOs) within the energy, transport and property (development and repurposing) sectors. She also led the bat research team in Saudi Arabia as part of the Neom Project, specifically, to establish a baseline to inform proposed wind farm installation. Kelly strives to provide a pragmatic approach to ecology whilst ensuring maximum gains for biodiversity.
